I bought a reference for 600 USD + EK block for 100, 700USD and it runs higher than kingpins guaranteed clocks. Pretty insane price.

But...WHY 1250$ ?! This is insanely much, you could get a titan Xp for this amount or buy 2 1080 Ti cards, if you want pure performance.

It's probably for people having enough money to buy it, little knowledge of the thematics by themselves, and not the time to bother with doing so. Money alone doesn't buy knowledge, but it lets you still brag about having a Kingpin card etc., impressing those without money and without knowledge 😀
